The Wayriders

Chester's Wayriders are a cunning lot. They're hell-bent on putting their foot down to make a point on exactly what they want. That being not wanting to place themselves under any genres, making a self-financed album solely through their own terms and refuse to be a part of any bollocks that don't involve the music. At the end of the day, that really is what it's all about. If variety is the essence of life, then these northern souls seem to have it all under their young grasps. Not that it'll matter much, but they've ventured on touring expeditions with the likes of UK punk bands such as Captain Everything!, 4 Ft Fingers and the Alarm. Whether they wanna hit it punk ('Secret'), ska ('Tease') or an all-out rocker ('She's Gone Hollywood'), it's all sorted with such efficent and excellent precision. Classy. The Wayriders after 5 years of constant work and touring decided to call it quits in late 2005, their last show was located in the tiny venue of Alexanders in chester, and was a total sell out!
