Tom and Jez, collectively known as nu-skool breaks DJ’s/Producers ‘The AutØbØts’, have established themselves on a worldwide stage, with their instantly recognizable blend of tearing basslines and funky breaks. Their label ‘Broke Recordings’ won the coveted ‘Breakthru Label’ award in the 2005 ‘Breakspoll’ award ceremony @ Fabric in London, and came runner up in the ‘Best Label’ category in 2006. ‘Broke’ recordings are consistently found in the record bags and CD cases of many internationally recognized artists. Fat Boy Slim, The Crystal Method, Krafty Kuts, DJ Icey, The Plump Djs and Stanton Warriors, all champion the sound, as do thousands of other professional DJ’s and enthusiasts alike. ‘Broke’ is a regular player on Radio stations worldwide, scoring numerous rewinds with BBC Radio1's Zane Lowe & Annie Nightingale, to name but a few. Their music often features on TV and in film, most recently in an episode of the poular drama CSi-Miami. When it comes to live performances, The AutØbØts have racked up hundreds of shows over the last 6 years, many in their homeland UK, at clubs and events such as Eargasm @ Fabric, Fuse, Breakspoll, Raindance, and Spectrum. They also made appearances at Reading and Guildford festivals in 2003, and Glastonbury in 2004 as well as V Festival and The Glade in 2005. Abroad, the ‘BØts’ are often found entertaining audiences in countries as diverse as Japan, Canada, Russia, Australia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Latvia, Hungary, Spain (over 30 times, including performing to 10,000 people at the Esparrago festival), and have toured the USA 14 times, including appearances @ Winter Music Conference Miami, in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. These regular international excursions have helped to extended The AutØbØts global appeal and the duo is subsequently attracting interest from all quarters. Aside from the Autobots, Tom also moonlights as Bez's (Happy Mondays) DJ partner, and regularly gigs worldwide with the freaky dancer. Read more on Last.fm.
