In this 21st century revolutionary movement of DJs and Trance producers arising from every single crack there is in this world, our thrill to hear about yet another upcoming DJ or Trance producer is usually accompanied with some qualm and somewhat reservation to what we should expose our ears to next. It’s a crazy world out there and our time is valuable. Everyone is the next big thing, every production is presented with a long run of promotional messages and invitations that took probably more effort than that put in the song itself. And with more record labels than houses, more DJs than songs and more dilettantes than professionals, we are left to wonder: Who is really the next big thing? But within this movement there is a movement by itself. A revolution within a revolution. And the rule says: if it’s good, it will surely stand out. Because at the end of the day, if it’s good, it’s good! “Für Elise” plays in the background with the soft fingers of a mother touching the piano keys with love and passion. He hears “ِAir”, he is introduced to Schubert, he becomes friends with Wolfgang, he falls in love with Mendelssohn, he listens to symphonies, attentively, no. 4, no. 5, no. 9, no. 1000! It gets to him. It is .. him. Thomas DeColita (Oct 2nd 1984 , Norway) is an inventive sound designer, music producer and DJ who’s been working on sound and music production since early 90’s. Running across a wide range of genres and styles, his broad aesthetic inspirations (from dark, ambient, classical, ancient, electrical to even a glitch passing through a beat) are poetically construed in his soundtracks and live sets, presenting rhythmical narratives far from prosaic and rather ingenious and original. As an artist, Thomas’s originality and agility plus high quality production presented in his installations and productions, grabbed the attention of fellow elite DJs and producers around the world proclaiming him as one of the best upcoming names. And with soundtracks such as “ Trail of tears” , “Obnoxious” (which filled the second rank on DanceMusicHub.com for four continues weeks), “Gui Trance” and “Tritonal – Piercing Quiet” remix, Thomas has gained recognition amongst the world spread fan base of Trance and Electronic music. www.thomasdecolita.com Read more on Last.fm.
