Tree Wave uses obsolete computer technology (Commodore 64s, an old PC FM sound card [OPL3], a dot matrix printer, and an Atari 2600 for video) to create programmable electronic instruments and video accompaniment. The result is melodic and dreamy pop music, like homemade shoegazing synthpop. The band is from Dallas, Texas and is made up of Paul Slocum and singer Lauren Gray.
