Von Iva is an all-girl electro soul-punk group out of San Francisco, California, USA. Formerly a quartet, they are now a trio. They've recordes several EPs between 2004 and 2008 Von Iva creates their own brand of music by combining breakbeat cool with a dance punk attitude. Imagine Tina Turner singing over hammering dance beats and layers of synths. These ladies are turning out new and exciting music for people that aren't afraid to put Donna Summer, Joy Division and Jay-Z back to back on a playlist. Von Iva first made a name for themselves thanks to their eye-popping, heart stopping live performances, and their rambunctious début EP grabbed the attention of both critics and fans. Before they knew it this hard working, D.I.Y band was performing at the X Games and playing to huge crowds in Japan. They have also had their music featured on Showtime’s L Word and this summer Von Iva will be appear frequently on MTV’s Logo Channel performing the theme song for the surfing reality show, Curl Girls. Ongoing, the band generates more broad visibility via lifestyle marketing support from Etnies’ Girl, Dell Computers, Nokia Phones, and compilations from Petrol Records and Agent Records. Now a triple threat with Jillian Iva on Vox, Becky Kupersmith on Keys, and Kelly Harris on Drums, Von Iva has created a genre bending original sound that will move even the most reserved to dance. They have just completed their highly anticipated full length record titled “Our Own Island”. Fueled by simplicity, these tracks are poised to revive sweaty dance floors and sold-out audiences across the globe. Most recently, Von Iva has teamed up with Zooey Deschanel as part of the fake band Munchausen By Proxy in the movie Yes Man. They produced 4 songs for the soundtrack including the title song 'Yes Man.'
