Where I Wake Warm are a band from the Brooklyn/New York City area. Living, writing, recording and rehearsing out of a warehouse space in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn for the early half of the 90’s had to be some of the best and most productive times of our lives. Unfortunately as they say, “all good things come to an end” and the band took a long hiatus from about ’95 until about ’04. Since then they have begun playing together again and are currently in the final stages of mixing down their first full length release. Known for their “hypnodelic” sound and beautifully angelic vocals, WIWW made many friends over the years playing the bar and club scene incessantly from Boston to New York, Pittsburg and D.C. and back again. Their participation on several compilation CD’s like “Heavenly Voices III” released by Hyperion Records in Germany and “Woke Up Smiling” put out by Bedazzled Records helped bring their sound to a global audience. Although performing live is something they,ve not made the time for recently, they’re thrilled to finally make available to their fans many of the songs that were previously heard only at live performances. The ten track release will contain songs spanning a course of several years that were recorded in varied formats at different locations and have been re-mastered to form a beautiful representation of their ethereal sound that was up until now solely available through their self titled 5 song EP.
