Work Clothes is the husband and wife pair Jenny & Lee Waters. Recording for their first full length was done at home in their own Bless This Mess studio. At home is where they spent close to three years writing and recording the twelve hauntingly bittersweet pop gems that grace this record. Final mixing was handled by the warm and thoughtful ears of their good friend Brian Paulson (Slint, Archers of Loaf, The Rosebuds). With both Lee & Jenny being multi-instrumentalists(Lee plays drums with The Essex Green and Dean & Britta) they tend to prefer record all of their songs themselves. And depending on which version you get to see, live shows can either be quiet, intimate performances by just the couple or full-on rock shows with help from neighborhood friends and musicians. These Are The Shoes We Wear is a record that slowly unfolds revealing soothing, golden flashes of brilliant southern pop psychedelia. Read more on Last.fm.
