Must have been Tokyo delivers a pretty frenetic sound and performance. The five-piece from Berne, Switzerland, toured half Europe before recording their new album Vice. Instead of wasting big money for studio time and perfect acoustics, they decided to go literally underground: A project studio was set up in the basement of a large and uninviting industry building. The ambience of their project-studio must have contributed to the result. Vice sounds more lugubrious and darker than anything the band has done before.
