sound of illusion

Sound of Illusion is an experimental / breakcore / ambient project from Belgrade, Serbia (south-east Europe) which started in 2008. The idea was to experiment with different genres and types of music using conventional and unconventional instruments (bass, electric guitar, percussion, MIDI keyboard and computer generated sounds, beats, samples and noises) and the brain behind it is Ivan-Milan Matić, a musician / producer from Belgrade. Before he started this project he was involved with many local bands and also performed as a DJ and radio DJ. Lately, his friend Bojan Nikolić is recording and performing with Ivan. Desanka Reljin is responsible for the artwork. Besides Ivan, Bojan and Desanka, from time to time, few more people are involved in this project. Ivan doesn't hesitate when it comes to collaboration with different artists, and this also includes internet collaboration. Atmosphere of the first release “The Future of an Illusion” EP (Sociopath Recordings 2009.) - title inspired by the famous Sigmund Freud book about religion - many listeners described as “unusual” and “spiritual”.
