There are 3 Will-o'-the-Wisp bands/artists 1) A Progressive rock band from Greece. 2) An Ambient/Downtempo artist from Greece. 3) A Metal/Alternative/Progressive band from Finland. 1) Will-o-the wisp" are "born" in Athens in 1997. The group is made up from: Takis Barbagalas – guitar (ex-member of "Lefki Symfonia"), Kostas Pagonas – bass, Dina Nassi – keyboards, Nikos Manousopoulos – drums, Nikos Chalikias – flute and Angelos Gerakitis – vocals. On January 1st, 1999 their first album come out released on cd digipack and on vinyl with double cover. The album met with positive reviews by the music press and was twice characterized as album of the month by the zoo magazine. Their lyrics, always in English, balance between fantasy and reality, thus creating a bridge for an alternative perception..... 2) Vassilis Miamis aka "Will-O'-The-Wisp , started producing music since 2000, his debut release in 2005 (Fall Out / VA Fragile Life) at Cosmicleaf Records got wicked feedback and played in lot of open air festivals of that period, next releases from him followed also in Cosmicleaf in Nova Natura 2 & 3 (2006 & 2007) and his debut album "Long Sleep Plain" is going to be released early October 2008. His style is a unique mixture of ambient sound layers,hipnotic rhythms and melancholic emotions! 3) Will-o'-the-Wisp is a Metal/Alternative/Progressive band from Oulu, Finland. The band was founded in the year 2000 at the name of Silent. After some minor changes in the line-up, the name was changed to Will-o'-the-Wisp (WotW).
